Appalachian Student Dietetic Association

The Appalachian Student Dietetic Association is a student nutrition and foods organization that offers a wide variety of opportunities and experiences for any Appalachian student. Our parent organization if the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. All dietetics majors are encouraged to join ASDA and become members of AND.

The purpose of ASDA is the advancement of nutrition education on our campus and in the community and promoting leadership, professionalism, and the field of dietetics within our membership.

Membership: is open to all current Appalachian State University students who are interested in nutrition or related fields or topics. To be considered an active member, students must participate in at least 10 hours of service by participating is ASDA activities and/or attending meetings and other association activities.

Dues: Dues  must be paid each semester and are non-refundable. If a member does not pay dues, ASDA will not be placed on the member’s student activity record. You have two options for paying dues.

1: Pay $20 every semester OR

2. Pay $18 with two food drive donations (with a picture taken and sent to the treasurer).

Meetings: The second Thursday of the month at 6:00pm.
