Appalachian Student Dietetic Association

The Appalachian Student Dietetic Association is a student nutrition and foods organization that offers a wide variety of opportunities and experiences for any Appalachian student. Our parent organization is the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. All dietetics majors are encouraged to join ASDA and become student members of ADA.

The purpose of ASDA is the advancement of nutrition education on our campus and in the community and promoting leadership, professionalism, and the field of dietetics within our membership.

Membership: Is open to all current Appalachian State University students who are interested in nutrition or related fields or topics. To be an active member, students must participate in at least 10 hours of service though ASDA activities each semester.A student should maintain interest and participation in all association activities.

Meetings: The second Monday of every month (except December) at 6:00 pm in the Price Lake Room (201A) of the Plemons Student Union.

Dues: Dues are $15.00 per semester and are non-refundable. If a member does not pay dues, ASDA will not be placed on the member's student activity record.
